Wedge

Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 March 2026

1. About Wedge

Wedge ("we", "us", "our") is a WhatsApp-based invoicing platform for UK tradespeople. By using our service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using Wedge immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a sole trader or business operating in the United Kingdom. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Wedge complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Your Account

Your Wedge account is linked to your WhatsApp phone number. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your phone secure and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Fees & Payments

Wedge is free to sign up and use. We charge a flat platform fee of 1% on each invoice your customer pays through Wedge, capped at £50 per invoice. The fee is automatically deducted via Stripe Connect at the time of payment; the remainder is paid out to your nominated bank account. You only pay when you get paid — there is no subscription, no monthly fee, and no charge on unpaid invoices. You may stop using Wedge at any time without notice or penalty.

5. Customer Messaging

Wedge sends WhatsApp messages to your customers on your behalf (invoices, reminders, receipts). You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent before providing customer phone numbers. Customers may opt out at any time by replying "stop", which we are legally required to honour.

6. Data & Privacy

We store your business data, customer information, and message logs encrypted at rest. We do not sell your data to third parties. We use third-party services (Supabase, Stripe, Meta WhatsApp Business API, OpenRouter) to operate the platform. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use Wedge to send spam, fraudulent invoices, threatening or abusive messages, or any content that violates Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

Wedge is provided "as is". We are not liable for missed payments, undelivered messages, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via WhatsApp. Continued use of Wedge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
